Validation of OCO2 column CO2 over Tropical South America via inverse modeling of on-site measurements

About the project

The project proposes to measure and validate CO2 concentrations in an atmospheric column, in an area bound by the Tambopata National Reserve (RNT), through inverse modeling of on-site measurements. As part of this initiative, the INTE-PUCP Bio-geo-sciences group was in charge of collecting field data, diagnosing operations and maintaining the CO2 measurement unit, installed in the RNT’s SAGES Tower. Additionally, logistical support was provided to researchers from the University of Colorado and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
