Providing an improved cooking and water heating system, through the use of biomass, to improve indoor health in a house of the Chila Chambilla rural community in the Juli district, Chuchito province, Puno department

About the project

The project aimed at taking advantage of improved stoves, attaching a stainless steel box to one of the sides of the combustion chamber, so that excess heat from wood burning wood can heat the water inside the box, which is connected to an insulated water heater through a pipe system. By the thermo-syphon principle, the water constantly circulates from the box to the heater and vice versa. Thus, the water is kept warm for several hours thanks to insulation.
