The study reveals that there are many economically attractive opportunities for Lima-Callao to move towards a development path that is low in carbon and more efficient in terms of energy and water, if the necessary investments are made that could generate equivalent broader economic benefits to 7% of the Lima-Callao GDP, in 2014. This research has been carried out by Pontificia Universidad Católica de Perú (PUCP) and Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALAM) -on the Peruvian side- under the direction of the University of Leeds, as part of the consortium of British universities, at the Center for Low Carbon Futures -on the United Kingdom side-.
