Carbon markets are an essential tool of current and future efforts to achieve sustainability for human activities in our planet. They can be divided into two types: regulated compliance and voluntary. The regulated market is used by companies and governments that are required by law to account for their GHG emissions. This webinar will address the potential that regulated carbon markets offer to promote effective, long-term, conservation efforts for the world’s forests based on the experiences in Mexico and Colombia.

Event held within the framework of the project: «Assessing carbon dynamics of Amazonian, coastal and Andean secondary forests in Peru».
